In This Episode:
In this special live episode, Mom Enough® celebrates its 20th anniversary on stage at Way to Grow’s annual “Education is Power” luncheon, bringing together community, research, and real-world parenting wisdom.
Dr. Marti Erickson and Dr. Erin Erickson step into the role of guests as they are interviewed by Coco Du, Chief Executive Officer of Way to Grow, a supporting partner of Mom Enough. Together, they reflect on two decades of conversations about what supports children’s healthy development, and what it means to be mom, dad, or parent enough. They also highlight the importance of home visiting and parent support, core to Way to Grow’s work with families in the Twin Cities for more than 35 years.
At the heart of this conversation is a powerful shared belief: children don’t need perfect parents. Children need “good enough” parents who show up with presence (and put down their phones), are loving and responsive, and provide consistency and connection.
Drawing on research and lived experience, this episode explores what it takes to be “good enough,” the importance of consistent and trusted relationships, the challenges of “technoference,” and why the support of organizations like Way to Grow is so important to building the relationships children need to thrive.

When you think about “technoference,” how do your technology habits affect time and connection with your children? What kinds of support do parents need most in order to show up with consistency, responsiveness, and care?
