Tips for Reducing Holiday Stress


This time of year evokes a wide range of feelings – excitement, joy, sadness, longing or all of the above. Especially for mothers, any and all of those emotions often come with high levels of anxiety. How can I possibly get everything done? How can I make sure my kids are happy and building good memories?

 

Marti shared with KARE 11 News’ Adrienne Broaddus these 4 tips for reducing holiday stress:

1) As a family, examine your expectations and scale back

2) In advance, tell others what you need from them

3) Put mini-breaks for yourself on your to-do list

4) Include fun physical activities, preferably outdoors, in your family’s holiday plans
