Children benefit from setting limits with love and logic

Children need limits to feel secure. When your toddler runs toward the street, instead of saying “no,” say “danger” because it gives the child a reason for not continuing to run. You’re teaching the child and telling him why at the same time – setting a clear limit. Watch for more tips from Erin, including how to give your child choices (while making one choice undesirable to ultimately nudge your child to choose what you want her to do)!
